Does the Sign Match Its Design: Salon Couture Channel Letter Sign

Every so often, we have a client who comes to us and wants a sign that is innovative.  They are not looking for the typical, run-of-the-mill sign.  Instead they want something that will stand out, make a lasting impression, and display the creativity and individuality of their business.  And when it comes to the Landmark Signs design team, we can certainly deliver on a design that is as creative, elegant, or unique as our clients want them to be.  Some of the most exciting jobs are the ones where we get to really explore and branch out with our sign design.  It is the chance to turn sign into art!

As award-winning sign design team, our designs are meant to impress.  Furthermore, they are essentially a contract between the client and Landmark Signs.  Once a client agrees to concept of the design, we are guaranteeing that what they see on paper is the same sign they will see on the front of their building.  If our customers are not satisfied, neither are we.  And failing to hold up our end of the bargain is not acceptable.   An oversight on our part, in any area of the signage process, from sign designing to sign surveying, and sign manufacturing to sign installation, could lead to a sign design that was beautiful in the planning stages, but not so in execution. Which is why we make sure that every single part of the sign process is carefully seen to; no stone is left unturned.

Last week we showed you this design.

Does the Sign Match Its Design: Word and Brown Sign Project

As we have discussed in the last couple of blog, the design phase of a sign is an extremely important process.  It sets the stage for what is to come letting the client know what they will be getting.  And we have to deliver one that promise.

Furthermore, it also gives us at Landmark Signs, the opportunity to shine.  This is where we showcase our talents.  Not only showing the customer the potential of what we can do in manufacturing and installation.  It is also a change to show off our design skills.  With over 40 years of design experience, and sign designing awards. The design is our chance to distinguish ourselves from other sign companies with sign designs that are innovative, creative and customized to fit our client’s needs.

See if our creative sign design from the Word and Brown project matched its sign.

Does the Sign Match Its Design? The Skyline Monument Sign

The design phase of the sign process is one of the most detailed and important stages.  It is where we set the scene for what is to come.  If the installation is the performance and the manufacturing the rehearsal, than the design is the script.  It is what we use to sell the job, outline the plan, describe the dimensions and material, and is ultimately our promise to the customer of what we will deliver.  An elegantly written script is no guarantee that a play will live up to it.  So too, is this true with a design.  If any phase of the sign process goes awry, then the client will not receive what he or she was ensured.

Which is why we at Landmark Signs believe in working hard from the beginning until the end so that a client gets exactly what was expected.  Last week, we showed you the Monument Sign above.  See if we delivered on our promise by looking at the design for this very same job, The Skyline Luxury Apartments.  What do you think? Did the design come to life?

Does the Sign Match Its Design? Introduction

When it comes to being an all-service sign company, at Landmark Signs we do not underestimate any part of that process.  No step is too small, and like a pyramid, we realize that every stone, from the base to the top, disturbs the entire structure.  If one stone is out of place or lose, than the whole pyramid will be affected.

The base of our Landmark Signs pyramid is the consultation with the client where we find out what the company’s sign goals.  Up a little bit higher the pyramid is the surveying process where we carefully analyze the site the sign will go.  This is followed by designing the project, a chance for us to show what we are made of by both listening to the client’s needs as well as providing our own sign expertise: a delicate balance.  Next we have manufacturing the sign which requires an expert touch to bring the design to life.  Last is the installation, the pinnacle of the pyramid, where a client can finally see the finished product.

Of course if any of these steps are skipped, done haphazardly, or taken lightly, the final product will not live up to the design and the client’s expectations.  This is what we want to focus on for the next few blogs.

The designing process is a multi-dimensional process.  For the client, it tells him or her visually what the sign will look like.  It is much more about aesthetics and shows the customer what can be expected from his or her sign.  Technically speaking, on our end of things, it sets the tone for the rest of the project.   If it is not done in an expert manner, than the plan, the map which must be followed, will lead the manufacturer and installer astray.

Here at Landmark Signs, we believe in delivering what we promised.  If we say a sign is going to look a certain way, then the installed sign should flawlessly reflect its design.
